Hi Everyone, Thank you for the nice comments. We just wish that everyone who was lucky enough to get one of Gia's wonderful pups would start a blog. This way we could all follow the entire litter's progress. After watching the litter as they grew, we now miss seeing them all. If any one would like to post the link for patrick's blog, please feel free to do so. If anyone knows if anyone else has a blog for one of the pups, please let me know so we can follow them as well.

The Rough housing Continues
We just love to watch these two at play, and wanted to share some of this with you.
Almost Trained
Patrick is learning so quickly, that he is just about house broken already. He still has a few accidents, but for the most part he asks to go out now. We are using positive training with him. When he has an accident, we put him outside & tell him this is where you go. When he asks to go out, & then does his business, we give him a training treat when he comes in. He now looks forward to those treats. He is so well behaved, that he does not try to snap the treat from our hands. He actually takes it so gently, that you hardly even feel him take it at all. We are so proud of him.
We had our camera out and caught a few cute pics, they kind of speak for them selves.

Caught in the act!

But I swear I Didn't eat any of her food !

Best Friends

You MESS with Patrick, I MESS with YOU ! ! !

Growing Fast

Well, it has been only 3 short weeks and Patrick is growing so quickly. When Patrick was taken to the vet with his littermates on Jan. 14th, he weighed in at 9.7lbs. Patrick went to the vet today for his second round of shots & the not so little boy weighed in at 15.1lbs.
We went to the show this past weekend & had a fantastic time. This was our first time attending a show & were very impressed. We had watched a couple of shows on tv, & after reading up on the standards that are judged, we were actually able to pick out the winners. We had been talking to some women that were showing thier Dals. & they said that they were familiar with Kingdom Dalmatians. We showed the a pic of Patrick, and they really seemed to like him. They also said that his nose will probably get all of it pigment, so we are now thinking of poss. starting to look at showing him. Whe they showed we knew that they were going to win, because of the way they moved & thier overall highly positive attitude. Thier Dals. were always happy and showed thier positive attitude & beautiful stance. Sure enough, they won. It was a totaly pleasant experience for us as everyone there was so nice & willing to talk with us. We also made a contact with a local club & we will be getting information from them as soon as they get all settled from the show. So it looks like we are on the way to getting him on his way.

Play Time
Patrick & Snowy have become best friends. Snowy has now fully taken him into her heart & house, and is even sharing her favorite toys with him. It is so hard to beleive that he has only been here 2 weeks. He has grown so much & is learning so quickly. Right now he is at least halfway house broken. There are a lot of times now he will wimper & run to the back door, which leads to thier yard. We race to the door & Patrick walks down the steps & out the door to do his business. BIG accomplishment for a 9 week old ! ! no matter what breed. We are going to the Boardwalk Kennel Club Dog Show this weekend at the Wildwood Convention Center so we can talk with a local club & probably join. This way we will be able to get Patrick on the fast track with his training for his CGC & TDI, and who knows, we may just start to show him as well. I had problems with the post earlier today as the video would not load. I think I have found a solution, so here goes another try at showing our 2 little "monsters" roughhousing in our back room.

The First full week
Patrick is adjusting very well to his new home. He has become a very loving part of our family. Snowy(our 5 y/o German Sheppard) is now accepting him in her territory. They are becomming good companions & play buddies. Patrick has found himself a place that he likes to think of as his, our loveseat.
Home is where I can get Comfy!
This past Tuesday night we all had to go out for a few hours. We set up a room as a puppy pen, complete with an escape proof gate( yes we found one that he can't climb ). We placed a couple of freshly washed flannel sheets in there for him to lay on. Snowy, at this point, was still not too sure of him, but we expected her to at least check on him thru the gate. What we found when we got home was great. Snowy met us at the door as usual, but Patrick was very quiet, calm, and only a little excited. We wondered why he was behaving so well. We found out rather quickly when we picked up the sheets. There was a large area that had been matted down, a little to big for it to have been made by Patrick. As we looked closer, there was the tell tale long white hair from Snowy on the sheets. Patrick must have carried on and Snowy didn't like it. She had jumped the gate & went in with Patrick to comfort him. That is when she really warmed up to him, so we are kind of glad that we left them alone for a couple of hours.
This morning Dana caught us having some "guy time" in my recliner. When she took this picture, Patrick winked as if to say, Yup, I OWN him.
